The gosadi platform and accompanying app were founded by industry experts to help independent designers and artists streamline e-commerce management and increase pattern sales. The gosadi web platform and mobile companion app are for anyone designing & publishing knitting, crochet, and Tunisian crochet patterns for sale. gosadi helps its users work smarter so they can focus on their designs.
The gosadi platform enables designers to centrally manage pattern listings across multiple selling platforms through API integration and reach a bigger audience by streamlining the pattern listing and e-commerce process. We’re here to put that time back where they want it: generating creative ideas crafters will love. We’re looking for someone creative to join our team.

Logistics Summary:
Position: Special Events Coordinator
Type: full-time with flexible hours
Location: Remote, with travel 5 times per year for events or special meetings
Compensation: $50 - $58k, DOE + health coverage, generous PTO
Timeline: looking to hire soon
This is a 100% remote position with flexible hours. Role requires travel for events and meetings (at minimum 5 events per year).

Additional Skills you will need to succeed and thrive at gosadi:
Be comfortable with marketing & asset management tools i.e. Trello, Asana, Slack, Canva, GSuite, Google Docs, Sheets, Word, Excel and others.
Multi-task & prioritize time and resource management with ease.
Excellent communication skills - verbal, written, and ability to work as a part of a team.
Strong Copywriting skills and the ability to adapt to brand voice for event materials.
Ability to demonstrate tact and discretion in preparing, disclosing and handling proprietary information.
A natural relationship builder, with the ability to work well with the internal gosadi team and our larger network of community members.
Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs in a startup environment.
Proactive approach - the ability to anticipate future actions that may be required of a task while clearly communicating your steps and process to the rest of the team.
Must have strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
** Bonus if you knit or crochet or have such craft knowledge.
** Bonus if you have experience with Accessibility advocacy.
Role Outline:
The Special Events Coordinator focuses on supporting the Marketing department for the product and community building by managing our presence at various industry events up to 5 times per year to help bring this exciting new product to market.
Objectives of this role:
Seamless planning and execution of events.
Driving more awareness of the product and brand through events.
Increase engagement for existing audiences with high-quality social initiatives.
Build community by acquiring new audience and subscribers.
Track metrics and insights from event attendance.
Identify new and inventive ways to bring out product to life through events.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Administer the set-up and tear-down of display and activities at events, leveraging the Gosadi Shows & Events Guide specifications.
Keep Shows & Events Guide up to date as we continue to refine processes.
Maintain inventory of event and marketing assets (swag).
Coordinating event budget and appropriate funds sensibly per event.
Order and/or retrieve materials in a timely manner for events.
Create event assets and materials (ie: signage, displays, etc).
Secure talent for events as needed.
Arrange event logistics (travel, hotel, etc).
Assist in all event planning and preparation.
Develop and execute event follow up action items.
Manage on site activities at event.
Be the main point of contact at all events.
Events where we are a sponsor: coordinate sponsorship packages.
Events where we are a host: coordinate host assignments.
Secure event staffing per gosadi Show & Events Guide.
Collaborate with Social Media Coordinator for on site event strategy and promotion.
Become a product expert and be enthusiastic about the platform we’re building.
Update spreadsheets, databases and docs with event attendee information.
