Archiving Patterns
As a designer, it's important to have a centralized platform that simplifies the management of your designs and streamlines the process of connecting with your Selling Channels. In this post, we’ll focus on the Archive feature and explore its benefits in maintaining the integrity of your pattern inventory.
Streamlining Collaborations
Often, as a designer, you may collaborate with yarn companies, magazines, or other third parties to sell your designs. While you retain ownership as the designer, the ongoing management of these products is shared with the other party. In such cases, you may not require these designs to remain in your active product library. gosadi's Archive feature provides an ideal solution for this scenario.
By archiving a pattern, you can remove it from your active library while still preserving its data. This ensures that your design remains accessible in your designer library if you ever need to access it or when the rights revert back to you. Additionally, if you imported from Ravelry, your pattern will remain in your designs even if it's not available in your pattern store.
Adapting to Change
As a designer, your creative journey may lead you to change and shift directions over time. There might be instances where you feel that certain older patterns need to retire. Archive empowers you to make those decisions seamlessly, by keeping your Product Library up to date with the click of a button. Archiving patterns, means you’re sharing the most recent and in-demand designs to your customers and clients.
NOTE: Archiving does not delete patterns from your gosadi library. Archiving does not delete patterns from other Selling Channels you may have them already posted on.
Simplified Maintenance and Updates
The Archive feature offers a hassle-free approach to managing your pattern inventory. While patterns are archived, they are automatically hidden from the Designer Landing Page (DLP) to prevent confusion or accidental purchases as well as allow you to maintain control of the overall look and offerings available through your DLP.
It's important to note that editing is not possible while a pattern is in the Archive Library. To make any changes or updates, you will need to move the product back to your Active Library.
